Please note: Volunteers, Zoo employees and local emergency responders will take part in a routine animal escape drill on Wednesday, April 26 at Franklin Park Zoo, and Thursday, April 27 at Stone Zoo. These routine drills are an important part of our preparedness training. While the drill is occurring, guests will be able to participate in the evacuation portion, and may be asked to move to certain areas within the Zoo for a brief period of time (not to exceed 10 minutes). We are very dedicated to safety and we appreciate your participation. If you have any questions about what to expect, please do not hesitate to contact us at 617-989-2000 or info@zoonewengland.com.

The generous support of every participant has helped provide the opportunity for Zoo employees, from both Franklin Park Zoo and Stone Zoo, to pursue conservation projects, education opportunities, research initiatives and other wildlife-focused efforts. Over the past 10 years, 73 Zoo New England Scholarship winners were able to participate and assist in projects as varied as reintroducing Drill baboons back into the wild in Nigeria, restoration of Atlantic puffin colonies off the coast of Maine and studying endangered turtle populations in New England.

Participation in these projects has not only provided staff with inspiring conservation experiences, but in return, staff have provided these important programs with much needed assistance. Read more about the fund.
