Celebrate Pollinators in our organic garden
10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Visit the Organic Garden Project and learn about the big role pollinators play in healthy ecosystems. This all-day event kicks off with a presentation from BestBees on the importance of native pollinators from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Then JP local artist, Carolyn Lewenberg will lead participants in building a native bee “hotel” for the garden. Children will have the opportunity to create “seed balls” to take home, with plants to support bees, butterflies and hummingbirds!
Offered in partnership with the Boston Food Forest Coalition, this spring series of workshops and talks focus on urban sustainability and permaculture principles. Workshops are designed to provide participants with hands-on opportunities to put their newly acquired knowledge into practice.
