Wild Adventures Education Programs

 

 

Wild Adventures Education Programs are wonderful opportunities to learn more about animal life at the Zoo and beyond!

 

Programs include live animal encounters, a variety of age-appropriate activities (such as stories, puppets, games, videos, and arts & crafts), behind-the-scenes tours and adventures on Zoo grounds!

 

Remember to Pre-register for Programs!

For families with more than one child in an age group, additional participating children are $4 each for one program. Member programs can fill up quickly!  Please make sure you pre-register in order to reserve a spot in a program. Please contact the Education Department at 617-989-3742 for more details.

Serengeti Sightseeing

First four Fridays in May

Join us for some Wild Adventures both in the classroom and on Zoo grounds!Runs Fridays in May from 10:30 – 11:15 a.m.

*Please note: There will be no Wild Adventures on May 31.

$32 Members/$40 Non-Members for the entire series. (non-participating siblings under 2 are FREE!)

 

Stone Zoo Wild Adventures Schedule

Join us for Curious Cubs

Curious Cubs will help to answer the “Whys?” of the animal world and offer important first encounters for little animal lovers. Get out of the house and bring your preschooler (3 - 4 years old) to Stone Zoo for some open play and animal exploration. At each class we'll learn through looking, touching and movement. The possibilities are endless and may include storytimes, animal encounters, biofacts, simple crafts and more! And, if the weather is nice, we might go for treks outside!
Curious Cubs starts at 10:15 a.m. and lasts approximately 30 - 45 minutes. $8 Members/$10 Non-Members (per adult/child pair for each class).
Space is limited and advance registration is required.

Summer Camp at the Zoo

Amazing Animals Summer Program at Stone Zoo

Animals are born with the tools they need to survive in their world - are you? Spend a week exploring some of these amazing animals and making new friends at Stone Zoo. Each session of this week-long program will include age appropriate group activities, craft projects, games, animal encounters and more!

Introducing: Stone Zoo Tours!

Have you ever wished you had a personal tour of the Zoo?  Would you like to learn your favorite animals’ names, birthdays, or favorite places to hide? Or would you like to learn about what their feathers or fur feels like or maybe what their teeth look like?  Sign up for a tour today!  Registrants can choose to focus on either the Yukon Creek or Sierra Madre areas of the Zoo.  Please call with more than one date or time in mind – tours last approximately 45 minutes to one hour and are subject to educator availability.  $5 per participant for the first two participants, $2 for each additional participant.  4 person minimum.
