Celebrate Father’s Day at the Zoo!

 

Help us celebrate your dad (and all of ours!) at Franklin Park Zoo this Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, with FREE ADMISSION for all fathers throughout the day. Be sure to visit all of the resident animal dads at both Zoos including Franklin Park Zoo’s western lowland gorilla Kitombe (Kit) and his daughters, and James, a Grant’s zebra, and his offspring Nemo. Bring Dad along with the entire family to Franklin Park Zoo for a memorable day with the unforgettable animals!

 

Zoo New England’s 2013 radio partner, MAGIC 106.7, will be onsite from noon to 2:00 p.m. with music, games and prizes. Families will also enjoy a 10:30 a.m. musical performance by Marcie, a singer/songwriter who will perform a mix of original and classic songs sure to keep the whole family singing along. Kids will laugh, dance, jump, and learn alongside colorful props, puppets, and stories. Marcie's songs and interactive activities stimulate children's creativity, and support self-expression through music and play.

 

 

Free Fun Fridays

Stone Zoo: June 28
Franklin Park Zoo: August 2

Zoo New England is participating in the 5th annual Free Fun Fridays program sponsored by the Highland Street Foundation. Free Fun Fridays is a program that includes 60 museums and cultural venues across Massachusetts. Each Friday this summer, there will be six venues open for free. Don’t miss the daily zookeeper encounters!

 

This is the perfect opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the animals. Daily zookeeper encounters are held at 11:00 a.m. in Bird’s World (at the Scrubland exhibit), 2:00 p.m. in the Tropical Forest (at the indoor gorilla exhibit), and 3:00 p.m. at Franklin Farm.

 

 

 

Everyone’s a kid at the Zoo!
Don’t miss “Kids’ Price Saturdays!” 

Feel like a kid again when visiting the Zoos! From 10:00 a.m. - noon on the first Saturday of every month, all guests will be charged the children's admission price ($11.00 at Franklin Park Zoo and $10.00 at Stone Zoo).
