Tropical Forest Building

Franklin Park Zoo’s Tropical Forest is the ultimate wild experience! Whether it is for a corporate function or a private party, the Tropical Forest, and its more than 50 species of exotic animals and birds, creates an unforgettable backdrop for your special event. In this lush 3½ acre indoor tropical exhibit, your guests can dine with gorillas and mingle with wildlife right here in Boston.

The Tropical Forest is available year-round for evening rentals.

• Includes two animal care personnel and two security officers.
• Special lighting
• 150 seated cocktail reception.
• 500 standing. More space is available at the front and rear of this building for additional table placement.
• $3,450 evening rental only
• Includes the use of the classroom and animals on exhibit 

Tropical Forest Classroom

The Tropical Forest classroom is located at the front of the Tropical Forest building. This space fits 100 people seated, and includes eight 6-foot tables and chairs.  Restrooms are located next to the classroom.

• $600 all day rental.
• $125 per hour for private events and corporate functions

Children's Zoo Meeting Barn

The Meeting Barn is a function room that holds 60 people. This air-conditioned space is located across from the petting zoo area in the Franklin Farmyard. The room includes eight 6-foot tables and benches. 

•  Available year round for day and evening events.
•  $600 all day rental.
•  $125 per hour for private events and corporate functions.

Outdoor tented facilities

Beech Grove

Beech Grove includes a 40 x 40 tent with 20 picnic tables. The tent holds 200 people standing and up to 160 seated. Additional tables can be placed outside of the tented area and an additional tent can be rented if needed.  

• Open April to October for day or evening events.
• $1650 for all day rental.
• $350 for private and corporate functions.

Outback Pavilion

Outback Pavilion includes a 40 x 40 tent with 20 picnic tables. The tent holds 200 people standing and 100 seated.

• Additional space is available next to the tent.
• Specialty tables and chairs or an additional tent can be rented for an additional fee.
• Open April to October for day or evening events.
• $1250 for all day rental.
• $250 for private and corporate functions.

Outdoor facilities (not tented)

Bird’s World Patio

Holds 140 people seated or 300 cocktail style reception

• $1200 all day rental 

Franklin Farm
Holds 200 people cocktail style reception

Serengeti Crossing

Serengeti Crossing is the front greeting area at Franklin Park Zoo. This area holds 5000 people standing and 1000 people seated. Tents and tables may be rented at an additional cost.

• Open April to October for day or evening events.
• $4000 all day rental for mornings and/or evenings

Zoo members and non-profit groups receive 10% discount off of total venue price.
