Best of Tanzania Accompanied by John Linehan

Thank you to everyone who joined us on the adventure of a lifetime with safari host and Zoo New England President and CEO John Linehan!

About the Safari

Escape the winter in the wilds of Tanzania with us. On the Best of Tanzania safari, world-class wildlife viewing is complemented by intrepid bush walks, intimate cultural visits and fireside conservation. The safari begins with a flight to a private nature refuge where wildlife populations have nearly doubled, and local people are seeing the benefits of community-based eco-tourism. Continue to the southern Serengeti as we search for vast migratory herds and prides of lion as well as eland, elephant and cape buffalo. We’ll finish our adventure with a descent to the floor of Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest unbroken caldera and home to 30,000 mammals, including each of the Big Five. Our accommodations are in the heart of the action as we spend six nights in Thomson Safari’s signature Nyumba tented camps and two nights at Gibb’s Farm, Travel & Leisure’s 2018 “Top Lodge in Africa.”
