Arctic Adventures
How does an animal survive in the freezing cold? What does its habitat look like? How is it able to get all of its basic needs met? In this program, we’re going to answer all these questions and more through lessons, activities and animal encounters.
Tracking in the Tundra
It’s time to track down a fun day when we learn about how animals track their prey in general and in the tundra. We’ll look at footprints, droppings, furs, feathers and more. By the end of the day, you’ll be an expert on tracking and animals.
Crazy Cold
Do you think the cold is cool and winter is wonderful? In this half day program, you can learn all about the artic and the amazing animals that live there. We’ll play games, meet an animal ambassador and so much more!
Classes will be limited to 10 participants for our 4-5 year old’s, and 12 participants for our 5-7 and 8-10 year old’s. These classes will be held indoors, with certain activities and zoo walks that will be held outdoors. Mask wearing during our program for all participants and staff will be optional, but recommended. When indoors, all children will be seated at least 3 feet from each other. We encourage thorough hand-washing, and will be providing opportunities to wash and sanitize hands throughout the duration of the program.
Due to new COVID-19 regulations, we are not able to offer opportunities to touch any of our ambassador animals that we will be meeting. Please note, parent/guardian and unregistered friend/sibling attendance is not permitted.
