We're hosting several local artists to celebrate the Society of Animal Artists’ (SAA) nationwide inaugural event: the Animal Art Experience. Founded in 1960, the SAA is the global, preeminent organization for animal fine art.
Meet SAA artist Lisa Nugent, as well as fellow artists Christine Chisholm and Deborah Bottomley. These local artists will demonstrate various art mediums and techniques in the Tropical Forest Pavilion. Feel free to ask the artists about their professions, inspirations, preferred materials, and for advice on what it’s like to be an artist specializing in animal-themed art.
Little artists welcome! Free coloring pages from the SAA make it fun for kids to join in the creativity.
