A decision regarding Stone Zoo’s accreditation, which is tabled due to longstanding deferred maintenance issues, will be made in September by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Currently, Governor Charlie Baker and Secretary Jay Ash of the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development are considering Zoo New England’s request for release of $3 million in capital funding for deferred maintenance for our Zoos, particularly Stone Zoo.

All of your calls and e-mails truly make a difference and it’s not too late to share with elected officials why Stone Zoo is important to you.

If you would like to voice your support for Stone Zoo, you can contact Secretary Ash and Governor Baker with the information below. Please be sure to thank them for their consideration!
