ZooArt

ZOOART brings you up close and personal with some of our animals while observing these wonderful critters through the eyes of an artist!

For Kids and Families

This program welcomes families, beginners and seasoned artists for 45 minutes of a guided animal encounter and painting session with one of our educators AND a mystery animal ambassador.

Newer artists are welcome to follow along with a step-by-step painting completed by the instructor while more experienced artists can make their own individual creation on their own time. Painting materials will be provided, but you're welcome to bring your own materials as well.

Reserve your spot!

Price:

Members: Free | Non-Members: $20, admission not included

When:
May 25, 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.

Where:
Franklin Park Zoo's Meeting Barn. An educator will greet you at the front of the Meeting Barn.

Who:
Families, all ages and experience levels. Guardians must stay with children during the program.

For Adults

This 60-minute program supports more experienced artists to practice their observational skills and gesture drawings by traveling around campus to see several zoo residents in their habitats. With an artist as your guide, this program fosters the exploration of movement and beauty of transience as we record the natural world around us.

Artists are encouraged to bring their own supplies and may use whatever medium they choose; however, this program is designed with movement and travel around the zoo in mind and we'll likely not spend more than 20 minutes in one space. Paper, pencils, and drawing boards will be provided on a first come/first serve basis.
