Join us as we celebrate the birthdays of gibbons Jian, Trieu, Iggy, and Kien! Learn fun facts and explore biofacts with our education team, and watch as the gibbon family enjoys special birthday enrichment. Join us at 2:00 p.m. for a Gibbon Chat, where you'll meet a member of the gibbon care team and discover what makes these primates so unique — including the important role they play in their ecosystem.

Committed to Conservation

We're a longtime participant in the White-Cheeked Gibbon Species Survival Plan, a cooperative, inter-zoo program coordinated nationally through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. SSPs help to ensure the survival of selected species in zoos and aquariums, most of which are threatened or endangered, and enhance conservation of these species in the wild.

Habitat destruction and poaching are some of the threats that gibbons face in the wild. During this event, learn more about sustainable palm oil, and steps everyone can take to protect habitats for wildlife.

What's that sound? Gibbons make some amazing sounds, from hauntingly beautiful calls, to silly sounding hoots and howls. Be sure to listen for our gibbons gabbing at the party!
