Appearance
Males have gray heads, yellow throats, and yellow and pink undertail coverts. Females are entirely green.

Diet
These birds are frugivores, primarily eating fruit.

Reproduction
Both males and females can reach sexual maturity as early as six months. They form monogamous pairs. After an incubation period of about 21 days, the female typically lays a single egg. Chicks fledge within 10 to 14 days.

Behavior
This species communicates vocally and engages in elaborate courtship displays.
