Thursday, August 5: Franklin Park Zoo will close at 2:30 p.m. for a private event. Boston Lights will open at 8:00 p.m. Please plan your visit accordingly!

Non-Members: Online reservations are required for admission tickets. Daytime admission tickets are released intermittently and may not be available more than two weeks in advance.

Members: Advance reservations for daytime admission is not required. Members can check in at the admissions gate with their member cards and a photo ID.


Ticket buyer and associated guests commit to the following guidelines:

  • Guests who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are not required to wear a mask outdoors, except for certain opportunities such as visiting the petting area, however, in accordance with current CDC recommendations, we ask that ALL guests wear masks while indoors.
  • If you are unvaccinated, you need to wear a mask indoors and in circumstances where you cannot maintain social distance outdoors. Children under age five are not required to wear a face covering, except when visiting the petting areas. For the health and safety of the animals, no individual will be permitted in the petting area (including young children) without a mask.
  • Enter the Zoo at the time listed on ticket.
  • Be respectful of other guests.
  • Respect Zoo rules to protect humans and animals.

Retrieving your Ticket

Tickets purchased online are delivered to the email address provided (please allow up to one hour for receipt). Please note, your emailed receipt is not your ticket. You will need to download your barcoded tickets from your email and present them at the Admissions booth. To make the check-in process as fast and safe as possible, please print your tickets before arriving at the Zoo.

Terms and Conditions

A valid ticket is required for Zoo entrance for each visitor. Tickets are one-time-use only and valid for the date and time noted. Tickets purchased online are only valid at the location indicated at time of purchase. Tickets are non-refundable, have no cash value, cannot be used for private or after-hours events and cannot be combined with any other offers.
