If you plan to visit Franklin Park Zoo on Saturday, July 25, or Sunday, July 26, please note that parking and traffic restrictions will be in effect within Franklin Park. 
•  Sat., July 25, Zoo visitors arriving by vehicle can access the Zoo via Blue Hill Avenue. Barriers will be in place due to events in the park. Please identify yourself as a Zoo visitor and parking will be available in the Zoo parking lot across from the golf course, at Peabody Circle and Refectory Hill. 
• Sun., July 26: Vehicular traffic for Zoo visitors will be via the Blue Hill Avenue side of Circuit Drive. Parking for Zoo visitors will be available in the Zoo parking lot across from the golf course, at Peabody Circle and Refectory Hill. 
• On both days, Pierpont Road will be closed to Zoo visitor traffic and parking.

Gorilla Grove


Gorilla Grove features over 360,000 cubic feet for the troop to explore, including vines and trees for climbing, a cascading waterfall, and a multitude of built-in foraging opportunities for gorillas to discover throughout the day. 

Venture through the observation outpost to the heart of the habitat, where you’ll get a 360-degree view of Gorilla Grove. Come face-to-face with gorillas at the viewing stations around you, or look up, and you may see gorillas peeking in at you through the skylights as they climb overhead! 

Please note: Gorillas can explore Gorilla Grove when it’s sunny and at least 55 degrees. On rainy days, the temperature must be at least 60 degrees. If it's cooler or wet, you’ll find the troop staying warm inside the Tropical Forest.
