Spring into Fun at Stone Zoo’s Spring Fling, presented by Kinder Joy®

When spring is in bloom, it is time to celebrate! On April 16, Stone Zoo will host Spring Fling, an opportunity to welcome the warmer weather and have fun with activities throughout the day.

Thanks to Spring Fling presenting sponsor Kinder Joy®, families will be able to participate in a special Kinder Joy egg hunt featuring the iconic egg-shaped Kinder Joy® treat plus toy to double the joy.

"We are thrilled to partner with zoos across the country to make their egg hunts even more exciting with the addition of Kinder Joy eggs,” said Felipe Riera Michelotti, Vice President of Marketing Kinder Joy and Seasonal Products at Ferrero. “Just like Kinder Joy, zoos are known for creating authentic and connected moments when awe, wonder, and childhood joy are at the center of shared family experiences, and we look forward to connecting with families across the country in a new capacity.”

Throughout the day, guests will also enjoy music, dancing and games. The animals will also join in on the fun as many will receive special enrichment during Spring Fling. Watch as the animals use natural behaviors to forage for food and discover different items and scents in their habitats.

“We look forward to welcoming families to Spring Fling and providing the opportunity for them to not only connect with nature and learn more about the animals, but to also create memories and have fun,” said Cynthia Mead, Executive Vice President of External Affairs and Programming. “We are happy to partner with Kinder Joy to present a wonderful experience for all of our guests.”

While guests explore the zoo, they can be on the lookout for signs of spring. In front of the Animal Discovery Center, guests will discover a blooming “garden” of good habits with tips on how little changes can have a big impact on pollinators and native species. From bees to butterflies, learn how some of the smallest creatures can play the biggest role in healthy ecosystems. At the conservation station, guests can see native turtle species as well as young marbled salamanders the Zoo team has been caring for that will soon be released back into the wild to bolster local populations.

Spring Fling will be held at Stone Zoo, located at 149 Pond Street in Stoneham, MA, on Saturday, April 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Advance online ticket purchase is required.
