Franklin Park Zoo and Animal Rescue League team up to Keep Pets S.A.F.E. and F.E.D.

Join Franklin Park Zoo and the Animal Rescue League (ARL) of Boston as we come together to support our furry friends in need.

In an effort to support the local community and promote animal welfare, Franklin Park Zoo is hosting a Pet Food Drive from September 24 – September 30, which is part of ARL’s Keep Pets F.E.D. (Full Every Day) initiative. The Zoo invites visitors and the general public to participate in this charitable event by donating unopened, unexpired, shelf-stable pet food. Those who donate at the Franklin Park Zoo drop-off will receive $5 off one daytime admission ticket. Tickets need to be purchased at the admissions booth.

The Animal Rescue League of Boston launched The Keep Pets S.A.F.E. (Supporting Animals Facing Emergencies) program three years ago to help keep pets with their families during emergencies. The Keep Pets F.E.D.(Full Every Day) initiative is currently underway to collect needed pet food donations to help pets and families in need.

The month of September is the most ambitious goal yet with an aim of collecting 15,000 pounds of pet food to support families in our community. We can reach it with your help - fight pet hunger by purchasing critically needed food through the Amazon wish list or Chewy wish list. Or, visit the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s website to view a list of items urgently needed.

Donated items will benefit the Animal Rescue League of Boston, which plays a crucial role in caring for animals in need. By collecting pet food, Franklin Park Zoo aims to make a positive impact on the lives of pets awaiting loving homes while raising awareness about animal welfare.
